DAVID ARCHULETA IS COMING HOME
Let’s Give It a Real Big Bash Before the next H U G E one !!

A new breeze is approaching and is about to breathe through David’s life … again. The imminence of his Return is filling me with musings of tender nostalgia.
From Star Search to Idol to Rockstar to Mormon Missionary, he has been reborn as many times as his apparent need of it. In another couple of months, will he, like the Phoenix in Greek mythology, cyclically regenerate and is reborn once more?
On desiring to become
You begin to live
– Rene Daumal (French poet) –
Whilst looking forward keenly to watching David’s music future, part of me still refuses to leave altogether the treasure trove he left me from the distant past when he was only 17 years old … his unforgettable older songs … his cute childhood pictures (even though he has now grown into such a good looking dude!) It is perhaps owed to an unconscious effort to alleviate my 2-year misery of various anxieties which, until such time, do not seem to want to go away.
David will be going through a huge transition when he returns from a life totally different – like a life reborn. Like a transition which points to having lost everything – yet seems to have everything to gain and everything and more to “re-live” for.
My sun Sets to Rise again
– Robert Browning –
The irony, I feel, is that we Archies probably feel the same way too about ourselves with our own David-related transitional anxieties. Will we soar over the moon with joy about his future musical choices? Or will we feel let down by our own overly high expectations? Or will we feel like our love and opinions of him will be reborn in a way personal to ourselves?
I can’t help recalling my own prognosis 5-6 years ago, that the ride with him would be both exhilarating and patience-exhausting – given his youth then together with his comparative inexperience and an idealistic sense of adventure, all understandable from a besotted fan’s point of view. It would be a bumpy ride.
However, such is the characteristic of a “human” journey. That is the big difference between a David-journey and “a frolic-down-the-alleyway” with many other artistes and entertainers. David may be just a “music-maker” to some, but it is, in the most part, the “human” element between David and us Archies, which has always been the underlying factor that binds us to him and his spirit.
So I would choose to be with you
That’s if the choice were mine to make
But you can make decisions too
And you can have this heart to break
And so it goes and so it goes
And you’re the only one who knows

Paulo Coelho says:
Waiting is painful … Forgetting is painful … 😦
Oscar Wilde Wilde says:
If you are not too long, I’ll wait for you all my life … 😀
..
So what are you guys? Are you an affectionate case of –
Absence makes the heart grow fonder?
Or are you a “cold-fish” case of –
Out of sight, out of mind?
😛
If you belong to the latter, look at the pics below. If you can recognise those … em … body parts, you are not too far gone! Welcome Home! Another 1 1/2 months or so (hopefully!) for you to put your archie-act together and get that heart pounding again … just don’t overdo it and get a heart attack! 😀
If we think deeper, David is really a privileged person – favourite son of the angels and the divine. With hardly a direct word from him the past 2 years, most of us are still deliberately waiting with every ounce of patience we can muster. Yeah … we know it’s worth every minute of our time, every effort and every strain in our heart and soul.
David lookin’ good in pink as tweeted by Team Archie on Valentine’s Day, which still caused a stir.
Just watch this vid below and realise how constantly David has been on our minds and appreciated and how many happenings have been going on in just 2013 alone – while he is away – and while we wait.
I cannot imagine any other celebrated singer enjoying such continual devotion while he takes a 2-year hiatus, can you?
Such is fan-love at its touching best.
And thanks to David’s Team.
We like a man who writes with his left hand and wears a dark suit and a yellow tie and sits on a matching yellow chair. 😀
We also like a man who has an incomparable and unexplanable glow 🙂 (The hair has been forgiven … for the time being 😛 )
Just look at his face … that glow is ridiculous! It has to be some sparkly moisturizer we don’t know about. 😛
David. Always front and centre. 🙂 We believe these pics were taken on Feb 9 after a Devotional when he sang with the other cute Elder.

How does it happen?
That birds sing That snow melts That the rose unfolds
That the dawn whitens behind the stark shape of trees
On the quivering summit of the hill?
A kiss … and all was said
– Victor Hugo –
We posted an article for Valentine’s Day last year when we questioned the necessity of selecting a particular day to celebrate Love amidst huge commercialism which seems to come with it nowadays – a far cry from the purported origins in Roman history of a priest of his martyrdom and refusal to abandon his religious beliefs. – and which now is celebrated with the fanfare of spending much much $$$.
We still question it.
Strangely, that has become the norm of acknowledging something which, when you think of it, is pretty laughable since Love, which is alleged to be the issue on February 14 every year, is akin to an instinct and rawness known to all beasts and man.
How do you explain Love? When do you express Love? How do you measure Love and weigh it against the overly-priced roses and exorbitant jacked-up bills in restaurants? Should Love not be ever-flowing and spontaneous without the dictates of the calendar? – to be enjoyed and treasured whenever the reeling feeling overwhelms us – and free-of-charge too! Like, by just looking at pictures like this? 😉
Take a good look at these pictures below and have our questions answered. These guys don’t care about choosing a day to Love. They just fill their hearts with Love and give it away. They celebrate “Valentine’s Day” everyday of the year. 🙂
Of course there are the reluctant ones. Give them a little time to warm up. 🙂
Love this picture! See that famous glow? Still there and following him around!!
Yeah … we are being facetious.
But that’s the way we like to see David – Glowy and Gorgeous! Getting used to the short hair too! 😉
Oh by the way! Did David REALLY go on a Mormon Mission?
Or has he been attending a training course in a faraway beach resort on Broadway stage performance? 😉 😀
