Uncle John has, much to the puzzlement of many, but true to his own heart, painted a mostly grim picture of the Album. Peeps like Li ying, Shirley, Amelia and I have spazzed about it as if it is a spurt of life’s oxygen. Akang is seemingly sitting on the fence – hopefully she will topple over it – to our side of course. 🙂 Tracy is mysteriously non-commital.
Anyway, let us have a break, have a bit of a laugh with some comic relief before Zach gives us his track-by-track review after he has purchased and listened to it.
I wonder about the people outside AAM – names with whom we are familiar. What are they saying?
Let us make some calculated guesses when we scroll lower down – in jest of course. It is my belief that these conjectures are not far from the truth.
About 11,000 people have shown their liking for Begin during the 1st week of its release and driven to purchasing it, and consequentially producing the following results:
Debuting at #28 on Billboard’s Top 200
Debuting at #5 on Billboard’s Top Independent Chart
Debuting at #3 on Top Internet Albums Chart
“11,000 people”, admittedly, is not a factual figure for the actual number of purchasers because its supporters are mainly made up of loyal, ardent fans like us buying multiple copies. But since I am horribly biased, I will grudgingly settle for “11,000 copies sold” during the 1st week.
Kurt Bester says:
“A voice like Archuleta’s come along so rarely that in my 30 years arranging and producing for singers, I have only met a couple that even comes close.”
Fred Bronson from The Hollywood Reporter says:
“David Archuleta proves it is not impossible to chart while on a Mormon mission.”
And the others :-
