Q: What do you do when David Archuleta SINGS and when David Archuleta SPEAKS while you are on vacay and need a break from the internet?
A: You jolly well take a break from your break and find an internet tool to WATCH and to LISTEN in a desperate bid to say something –
Or you will feel guilty for the rest of your life and not enjoy the vacay anyway 😉 .
(I am just posting as many pics as I can with credits to FOD. Also mouthing a few opinions as usual and hope you guys feel the same. FOD has all the details of the Face-To-Face Event.)
WOW!! My mind is quite blown! I want to give David a huge hug and tell him that he is an extraordinarily beautiful person, and that I love him more than before. I am beaming with pride of him that he owns so much passion for what he believes in, and for his courage to live those beliefs.
I feel that he has at last “come home” to where he feels he belongs. He is at last comfortable in his own skin. It does not matter to me anymore whether he sings religious songs or secular ones – here is an artiste who has depth and convictions – pride and ownership of his feelings. David will be successful in his career yet.
Am I disappointed that he is now not 100% in tune with what the fans want? Do I want to bring back the David of old? Do I want David to stay on being 16 years old and remain a toy idol?
Our answers should be a resounding NO. Those days are over. That was the past and should be treated as such. Gone. Finito. David needs to GROW (not talking about HAIR here! 😛 ). And this is the way he has chosen to grow, whether it suits us or not.
I loved him when he was a kid in AI; we have all at some point, wanted to give him “teddy bear hugs” and “pinch his cheeks” because he was so adorably cute. I now love him with tremendous admiration for the deep-thinking, deep-feeling and deep-loving man he has developed into.
David has embarked on a different journey now. I want to hug him for different reasons. I now see him as a truly glowing inspiration for both young and old – not in a religious sense – but as an inspirational lighthouse – for his determination to be true to himself, to be his own unique self.
Are we able to walk away from such a monumentally beautiful artiste?
Should we not Grow With Him in his search for divine beauty in his music?
