I was watching The Voice.
Not only is this song a huge reminder of how David bowled me over many moons and suns ago, I actually like this guy, Joshua Davis, right from the beginning of this Season.
He does not use any vocal tricks. He does not make you feel like he is trying too hard, and giving you a headache in the process 😉 He just sings with his heart. He has a good old-fashioned likeable voice which I would not mind listening to many, many times.
His popularity started very slowly and was almost voted out until Adam saved him. Good old Adam! He knows a good voice when he hears one! 🙂 I am relieved too that the US voters also wanted him to stay. This song has placed him in the Top 6! Quite a surprise for many viewers for this apparent dark horse!
He may not win the whole competition since there are so many other voters’ “favourites” but he certainly sooths and relaxes me. With a lack of David’s new music … yeah, I think I can listen to this guy for the moment. Enough big voices at The Voice already …
But, needless to say, our David is irreplaceable. Joshua is listenable but David is way above, and in a different league altogether. Why else would I be still waiting? 🙂 (Close your eyes and listen to the vid below. I would still … by many miles … prefer to listen to David.)
It’s tremendous news that ALL 3 shows David will be performing, as advertised so far, in Tuacahn and Layton, have been SOLD-OUTS!! And they just took 4-6 hours from the time of announcement! 🙂
“Don’t underrate these sellouts. The Piano Guys have two shows at Tuacahn not yet sold out and Donny has not yet sold out Layton.”
News has it there are more shows in the process of being planned. I can’t wait for David to be back on track in his career and light up the world again! Go, David! 🙂
David has Irrevocably and unretractably spoiled us. His version will forever be the best! 🙂
