  1. Haha you’re the ninja, Trace! Another latest David pic. He looks good as always.

From your last thread, haiya dont worry la, David will be able to handle whatever emotions he might have in making any big life transitions.

I love Waiting For Yesterday. Too bad he didnt sing that at his KL show 😦

  2. Thanks to Sheba for posting that video from MKOC tour. Its my first time watching it too 🙂

Trace, if not mistaken isnt that song called This Christmas by Donny Hathaway? I remembered that caused quite a stir (good spazzing) amongst Archies when David covered that song 😀

  3. Agreed with Sheba about how cool it is that the lead singer of Imagine Dragons served a 2 year mission as well. I have been listening to a lot of Imagine Dragons lately and was rooting for them at the Grammy. Glad they won a grammy for Best Rock Performance.

Ive read one interview that Dan Reynolds (lead singer) gave and he said this 😀 😀

“Our attention was never on girls or parties. We were just nerdy dudes, none of us are particularly great-looking. We were just obsessive with music and wanted to share it with people. At the end of the day the most important thing is music. You could be cool-looking and have a great live show, but if you don’t have a good song, nobody cares.”

  4. Mornin’ Shirley!

Yes, I do know you like Waiting For Yesterday. That’s why I posted it. 🙂 Me like too!

Oh yes, it’s This Christmas. Brain-dead from waiting haha! Great comments on Youtube for the song.
I remember when I first heard it, I thought perhaps that’s the direction David wanted to go. I now think he really should not have any defined direction since he can sing almost anything. I don’t want his versatlity compromised. Just sayin’ for fun. He can do whatever he likes. 😀

  5. Me too, I’ve done the unusual and listened to a couple of songs outside the David-box. 😀 and I chose Imagine Dragons.

It just goes to show, doesn’t it, that you can go away for 2 years on a Mission and can still face the odds and come back big – musically. It all depends on whether David himself wants it enough to go for it – whatever it takes.

“At the end of the day, the most important thing is music. You could be cool looking ……etc … if you don’t have a good song, nobody cares ” – Great quote.

  6. Hi Trace,

Love Demons by Imagine Dragons. Thanks for posting the video.
Another song I am enjoying from them is this:

Maybe David can work with Imagine Dragons and rock out as their opening act one of these days. Wishful thinking I suppose but then anything can happen, right?

  7. Yes I agree, Shirley, anything can happen – David and his surprises! 🙂

I believe working alongside with Imagine Dragons would be a good thing – the Mormon Mission link might be a good publicity buzz to the media.

And the quirkiness of ID might also give David some sort of “credence” of “coolness” to the cool-mad masses! 😀

  8. Hi Trace,

You have a point there about the buzz it might create of David working with Imagine Dragons. There are just so many things for David to catch up on when he gets back.

Can’t help but think of David when I watched this video 🙂

  9. Haha Shirley, Bruno Mars does have a sense of humour. And his words are inspiring too.
    Thanks!! 🙂
