David’s Glad Christmas Tidings is here!!

Woohoo!! Finally, David’s Glad Christmas Tidings CD and DVD has made its way to Malaysian shores!!!

Especially for the Malaysian Archies, Sony Music Malaysia is making the same available for pre-orders prior to it being released in retail stores.

The CDs and DVDs are imported and are priced at RM53.90 each (i.e. RM53.90 for One (1) CD and RM53.90 for one (1) DVD).

For those of you that have not gotten your hands on it then what are you waiting for!!! Make your orders directly to Sony Music Malaysia or alternatively you can submit your orders  to us at AAM!!

If the latter, just send us an email titled “Glad Christmas Tidings Pre Order” with the following details:

(a) Your full name –

(b) Your Order: i.e. whether:

– GCT DVD,

(c) The quantity in brackets besides your order: eg:

Interviewing David

How AWESOME would it be to have the opportunity to have a one on one interview with the one and only David Archuleta??

Well the amazing Naree got an opportunity to do just that when David was in Manila last July!!! Talk about a dream come true and couldn’t happen to a nicer fan!!

I think from now on ALL David interviews should be done by fans and fans ONLY because after following him for so long, we sorta know what makes him tick, what interest him and what makes him open up. He is soo comfortable talking here and you can see he’s not self-conscience  as he sometimes seems to be in interviews with the general media.

I personally would love to know whether he’s been successful in writing and finishing a song(s) all on his own, since he’s been saying how he is trying to find his own voice and how that may be difficult at times when he’s doing a co-write where the “voices” of others may be stronger.

A Tribute To John

Despite numerous attempts at persuasion, cajoling, coaxing, blatant “bribery” and begging on bended knees to make him turn around, our dear Uncle John, worn, weary and adamant, is decidedly bidding us farewell.

Some people come into our lives for a reason – but people like John come into our lives for many reasons:

He steadfastly dedicated much of his time and energy to supporting us connect with David……..to effecting heart connections amongst us Aam’ers……….to impressing upon us countless values of life……….to directing us towards the path of understanding what constitutes great music……….and to demonstrating to us the beauty and succintness of the English language.

We have learnt and grown immeasurably through his guidance and knowledge.

But nothing remains unchanged forever.

Everything is transient.

John, like Georgy Porgy, has “kissed the girls and made them cry”.

And he is moving on.   So must we.

Dear John, this video “People Come Into Our Lives For A Reason” is dedicated to you with our fondest love, admiration and gratitude.

Thank you for having been part of our lives, be it only for a season.

Acoustic Wait!!

Whoa David why you so AWESOME?

Seriously. If you haven’t seen the vids of his performance at the Hong Kong convention then you should!

His vocals were masterclass and just absolutely sublime.

So  it appears that the audience were largely adult male and under the circumstance I think his songs selection were pretty spot on. His set included the following songs:

ON a side note, this was a tweet by a guy who probably was not a fan before that performance:

It’s time

Reality Kardashian style

Reality shows are a misconception. I refuse to believe that there are no editing or production manipulations and that the events happen in real time. It’s more like ‘managed’ reality. This is especially true of shows that thrives on drama and issues.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is a case in point. Theirs is a ‘klan’ of drama queens, OTT histrionics and masquerading silliness as ‘issues’. With no evident trace of any kind of talent whatsoever they are simply famous for being famous much in the mold of that other well known party personality – Paris Hilton. The IT girl of the brood seems to be Kim Kardashian – she  of the literally in-your-face booteh.  Lately she got ‘married’ in a fairy tale ceremony with her partner (most appropriately named Kris) in tow. It was an overly hyped spectacle made out to be the American version of Princess Diana’s wedding to Prince Charles. It was hyped to the max with TV and magazine ads touting the event as a ‘cannot miss’. But excuse me if I sound cynical of the whole thing because, as it turns out,  I have reason to be so.

Well guess what? Less than 72 days later Kim has filed divorce papers!

“Sniff, sniff…it’s a difficult decision for me to make and I thought it would last forever….but we remain friends…”

PUHLEASE!!

Now does that surprise anybody? (not me), was it a staged ‘marriage’? ( you betcha!), was it a stunt to increase TV viewership? (it’s Hollywood remember?), was it a sham? (duh!). Wait cos there are more twists to this tale then meets the eye. The word on the street is the whole thing was a business transaction and the Kardashian Klan walked away with US$17 million for taking part in this circus. Do you wanna believe it or not? Remember this is a reality show? Anything that the producers can dream up will be the reality for that day.

You would think that for any normal broken hearted, just divorced woman she would be down in the dumps, probably crying her eyes out. But Kim Kardashian is not ‘normal’. She is part of an entertainment franchise & industry that thrives on staged controversies and fake dramas. So don’t worry about poor Missy Kardashian cos she’s hopped onto a plane bound for Australia promoting her brand of clothes. Not a single mascara stained tear to mar that beautiful face. Heaven forbid that those phoney baloney eye lashes should loose their grip and flutter down onto her designer clothes.

And what of Kris Humphries – the dumped husband? Well seems like he is going to end up with a goose that lays no eggs. Zilch, nada, nothing, zero. At least Jlo’s multiple ex-es got plenty of mullah to ease their heartaches. What a chump this Kris has turned out to be! Taken for a ride.

What has this got to do with David Archuleta? Plenty or nothing depending on how you look at it. Should he get involved with reality shows and get in ‘bed’ with the likes of the Kardashians so to speak? Bet your bottom dollar that IF Kim Kardashian were to ever get hitched with David, she would never file for divorce. She would declare her undying and eternal love AND mean it. In fact she would be so obsessed with Mr Archuleta that she would end up like the character in Fatal Attraction where a demented Glenn Close chillingly stalked her lover Michael Douglas and his family even to the point of boiling their daughter’s pet rabbit in a pot of water! Watch out Teddy!

Or David’s horde of female fans would pour their wrath on Kim for daring to soil their darling angel with her presence and crassness. What a reality show that would make – David Archuleta trying to keep up with the Kardashians.

I wonder what would Bruce Jenner – the other male chump in this sordid saga – would feel about that?
