Our anxieties, often spilling into pessimism and sighs of “Oh no… !”, as to whether David would stop singing and continuing his music career, have been much dissipated. I think.
I am reading between the lines of the “why’s” and “how’s” of the “I’m Home” vid in which he looked infectiously overjoyed .. full of beans .. and beyond excited.
I mean .. why V-log? And why in such a hurry? Why did he not just send a tweet out of politeness and political correctness, then snuck off home? Most celebrities would scoot off in a huff, wearing their ginormous blacker-than-black sunglasses covering half their faces in order to make a quick getaway before they are caught by the paparazzi.
And here is David Archuleta standing in the middle of somewhere in bright daylight, shooting this brief (but all-important) vid for his fans before he may be noticed by some archu-ninja, probably within an hour of his arrival on home soil. Why did he not do all the “family” stuff and the “resting” stuff first, then appear on a vid looking rested and doey-eyed?
As usual, I have my masterpiece analysises worth less than 2 cents. 😉
First and foremost, David does not do “snucking”.
Second, V-logging is so much more “caring” and “giving” than tweeting. And this is David Archuleta we are talking about here.
Third, the loving soul that he is, is just as anxious to be in touch with us as we are to have him contact us.
And also, he is already doey-eyed and does not need that much rest. And he knows it! – ie about his being “doey-eyed” (the things he knows about his attractive self and pretends to not know! …hmmmph! ..)
And, most important of all, his eagerness to get in touch tells me, clear as crystal, that he is dying to get his teeth into writing and singing and performing again!! Am I jumping the gun? I doubt it.
One thing baffles me though about the vid. Why did David refer to himself as “ELDER Archuleta” and not “DAVID Archuleta” now that the Mission is over?
The amount of super-buzz in the media around David’s return is heart-warming. There is still much interest in this “unusually unusual” guy who dropped everything that pointed to great potential … risked hurting and losing his fandom … and went away to do what his heart told him to do – the very thought of it is almost frightening to lesser beings like many of us.
Every bit of tell-tale sign I see from the V-log augurs well. From now on, every eye will be on David to see how he handles his new BEGIN.
As the song goes:
“Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you”
Poor David. I almost feel worried for him all over again despite my sense of positiveness.
David has always given us words of motivation and encouragement all these years. I thought these lines below might stand David in good stead since supporting and cheering David on is one of the things the Archies do best. David may or may not read these words of impetus we are giving him, but I guess being part of this Return Journey to Begin with him, makes us feel freakin’ good. 😉
