Somewhere in Google reads that Teachers’ Day is prowling around the corner. But when? I did not even know there was one.
Research shows: Malaysia has it on May 16, which is today. In Albania, they celebrate it on March 7. In Chile (ahem!) it is on October 16. In China, it is September 10. In the Philippines, it is celebrated on October 3. In the US, it is during the 1st week of May. The World Teachers’Day is placed on Oct 5 by the United Nations. And the variations go on and on.
Whenever the day is, I say: hats off to all the teachers of the world. I remember the only words I was allowed to say to them yonks ago, were “Yes, Teacher!” 😉
And to all the Archu-teachers of the world, Have a Happy Day!
Einstein says: It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.
Well said, Einstein, sir! Because here in Archuland, we have a really amazzzing teacher who, “like a good entertainer, has held his audience’s attention” to the max!
Not only that, he has taught us endurance of the ultimate kind, also to the max, even as we seeth to the teeth, foaming and bubbling at the mouth. 😥
Yes, Teacher .. Sir!
