While browsing through Youtube for some new calming music to inspire me to go through my almost-daily yoga sessions, I came across this vid. It reminds me so much of our David, especially after the recent controversies about his tweet.
You might think I have lost my marbles because this is one rather lengthy Buddhist chant. But believe me, if you have the patience or the time, you will find it well worth watching to the end – the images of the kids will melt your hardened heart. 😉
I might clarify that, to me, this recording is of no, or little, religious consequence. The delightful pictures of the children make me think of simplicity … untaintedness … freshness … and most of all, purity of heart. Yes, I think you guys are “getting” where I am going – they remind us of someone dearly beloved on this site.
Whether we are Buddhists, Mormons, Christians or whatever, and the monks or priests or elders talk and preach until the cows and sheep come home, purity of heart is the one aspect which will always stand out as the true faith.
Perhaps I should have found this vid when David was on his Mission, when he was experiencing life at its simplest. But no matter, I am positive his purity of heart will always be eternal and stand him in good stead.
