David has been getting alot of responses from this tweet – Archies “counselling” him and encouraging him to “take things 1 step at a time” .. “not to rush things” .. “that he is not being slow, just being attentive to details” .. “that it’s ok” .. etc.
One just cannot deny the fact that Archies are the most wonderful and empathetic fans! 🙂 (even though the utter reality is everyone is tearing their hair out trying to be PATIENT! 😛 )
And David himself has been most admirably receptive of the many tweets he received. This one has particularly caught my attention –
I learned that the hard way before.
That’s why I’m trying things a different way this (time) round
David is still growing. And he is willing to continue growing. The tweets tell me that he is still interested in writing music and giving it to us. He realises that he had made mistakes before by learning them the hard way, and he is aspiring to do things differently.
What those mistakes were is of little importance to us fans especially at this juncture. Our participation in his career is just our “fanship”. Hmm .. on second thoughts, is it really that simple?
To cut it short, Archies have always been a different brand of fans. We jubilate when he gets some songs done. And we cry when he has an artiste’s block. And, closer to the spirit of this post, we stay up late to have a twitter party with him when he wants to talk and needs some “counselling”. Sigh … just luurve my fellow Archies!!
And guess what? We have inspired him! We have encouraged him to “get some song ideas going”!!
“LET’S DO THIS” – he says!!!
He knows we are on this journey with him!
And he is on this journey with us too!!
