  1. Read at one of the sites – which I thought rather brilliant:
3 apples have changed the world:
    – Adam’s apple
    – Newton’s apple
    – Steve Job’s apple

  2. Other well known apples:

    Apple of one’s eye
    William Tell
    Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter
An apple a day keeps the doctor away

  3. Huh. I read another version of the “which apple changed the world?” thingy and it goes like this: The apple that Eve ate, the apple that fell on Newton’s head, and Steve Job’s Apple. =)

  4. Oh, yet another interesting piece of news. Jive records got scrapped along with two others (all of which are under RCA) and integrated into RCA records. There should be several articles appearing about it soon enough. And if anyone is so interested, the recent AI champion Lee DeWyze got kicked off ex-Jive in the same move (i heard his album sales were…disappointing). Such an eventful week.

  5. When it comes to fruit durian is the king! 🙂

Lee DeWyze dropped after only one album? That means he only got a 1 album deal compared to David who signed a 3 album deal. Most strange.

  6. Shirley thanks for bringing that article over. I’d like to reproduce one passage of Steve’s speech here:

“Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

I truly believe that this philosophy and mindset would do wonders for Malaysia and Malaysians.

Agree this philosophy would do well for Malaysians.
It would do well too for all artists – including David.

    Thanks for the article.

Haha! I don’t much like eating apples either – but freshly-squeezed apple juice is not bad. 🙂

    The Malaysian durian is yummy!
Not the Thai variety though – all flesh and no flavour. 🙂

  9. Thanks for the link to Lee DeWyze, not that I’m a fan – it’s always good to know both sides of the story.
