  1. Sure connected! Never was interested in the Opera stuff and heard of “Think of Me” once but not impressed, until David sang it. He resurrected the song. 🙂

  2. Great article, John. I completely concur with your assessment of David’s song interpretation skills. I wrote the following comment over on DA Buzzing a little over a week ago in response to minja’s post dealing with those skills that make David a great artist:

    “David is a master at conveying emotion, spirituality, and meaning while singing. Being a good technician is one thing, but if you don’t bring artistic expression and interpretation to a performance it will fall flat. In this respect, David distances himself from the field with his soul-stirring renditions.”

  3. Katheryn I have always felt that David is a singer’s singer in that he has this innate musical ability to ‘live’ the songs he’s singing. Many people harp on the fact that he doesn’t have a lot of life experiences and therefore cannot bring meaning to any songs he sings but I beg to defer. David is one of those rare singers who truly communicates through song and seems to be most articulate through music
