Getting into the spirit but not into accurate information. It’s a pet peeve of mine when they get his name and his age wrong! Don’t writers do their homework and research a little before they put pen and paper together? Isn’t accuracy of prime importance especially when it comes in the form of an article in a widely read and nationally distributed newspaper? Very bad reflection on the part of the paper in general and the reviewer in particular.
Ok with that little bit of rant over I think the review is very positive on the whole. Excerpts from the article:
The vocals are raw…….but the young Archuleta ( I refuse to repeat the spelling mistake of his last name here and in the rest of the article lol ) strikes big on the T-bone with his 13-track album.
……but my favourite is Ave Maria which the 20-year old ( what?! *rolls eyes and shakes heads* ) sings in Spanish. Always a soaring, moving song the young man offers a heartfelt rendition.
…….Archuleta is the man on the street with a unique, and really lovely voice ( amen to that! 🙂 )
…….used to have Mariah Carey’s Christmas album in the 90s. Archuleta’s album is a sweet addition to my collection.
You can also get a copy of David’s Christmas CD by entering a simple contest that’s attached to the review. The bonus is that you also get to win Bob Dylan’s similarly titled “Christmas In The Heart” holiday album and X-Factor sensation Susan Boyle’s debut album “I Dreamed A Dream“. You have to know Bob Dylan’s age and finish the following sentence: “I like Susan Boyle’s style because…” in 15 words or less. I think the sentence is the more difficult as I would be hard pressed to write anything positive about Susan Boyle’s vocals in 15 words no less lol. Where would one find the words? 🙂
