LATEST UPDATE 9TH OCTOBER 2009

This just in. Sony has announced that the official nationwide release date for the Christmas album at the retail stores is now November 9th and not October 26th. This means all those who pre-ordered the album will get theirs almost a month in advance. Please take note.

BREAKING NEWS!!

We have received updates from Sony Malaysia regarding the pre-order for David’s Christmas album. Please read carefully as there are slight changes to the mechanics.

You can choose to participate in EITHER ONE of two methods stated below:

1) Pre-order through Digi Musiclub

A) Firstly, Sony has decided that all pre-orders be directed to Digi Musiclub instead of Sony themselves. This means the pre-order link that will be posted on AAM will direct you to the Digi Musiclub website.

B) The pre-order period will now run from 12th October till 25th October by way of credit/charge cards.

C) Please allow a 3-4 working days period for receipt of CD.

D) Cost of CD is RM39.90 inclusive of shipping and handling.

2) Pre-order through AAM

This is an exclusive privilege for fans who would like to help AAM in raising funds for the victims of storms in the Philippines because part of the proceeds will be channeled to them. Besides that, this method is more convenient for those who do not own a credit/debit card for payment of CD.

Those who pre-order through either Digi Musiclub OR AAM will get the limited edition gift box that comes with the CD. You are encouraged to get your copy ASAP as the pre-order edition is VERY limited, so email us and get your copy today!

FYI : The retail price for the CD is RM 44.90

A) Pre-order period starts NOW till 17th October.

B) CDs to be available from the 12th of October onwards.

C) The method of payment for this is via CASH DEPOSIT -- Bank in the amount of money required into a particular bank account, just like the mechanics for the Pop Album and T-shirts we did previously. This is to ensure that those who pre-ordered do not drop out at the last minute as we need to pay Sony first before collecting the CDs. The bank account details will be emailed to you guys later.

D) After the cash deposit, please ensure that you collect the receipt as proof of purchase.

E) You will then collect the CD from us at a specified location and date – The location and date will be confirmed very soon.

F) For outstation fans or those who aren’t able to meet up to collect the CD, we can mail it to you by post. However, an additional amount will be charged for the postage fees. Please let us know in your email if you need the CD to be sent through this method. The payment for this method is also via Cash Deposit.

Go to 3rd party transfer on your SECURE banking home page and key in the banking details that John emailed to you. You will get a digital receipt. Print it out or print screen. (You will prolly be charged a dollar or two for the 3rd party transaction if you’re not a Hong Leong bank account holder)

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO ONLINE BANKING (Thanks to the amazing jamesy!)

(This is for Maybank2U. Please find the similar functions on your own homepage if you use another bank.)

1. Login to your secure site. Go to Accounts, Click on Transfer.

2. Pick NEW INTERBANK GIRO TRANSFER

3. Request for a TAC. (If you don’t know what a TAC is, you’re doomed… just kidding. The blue link above the drop down box; click on it. It will send a message with a code to your registered phone number. This may take up to several minutes, be patient.)

4. In the drop down box, select HONG LEONG BANK (OR WHATEVER BANK YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BANK INTO). Click continue.

5. Fill in all the information: Recipient name, IC, account number, amount, etc. Double check everything and click continue.

6. You will be asked to key in the TAC number. Type it out from the SMS, and click continue. You will see a status notification (success or fail), along with the details. You can also email the details using the form to AAM’s email, or just inform them you’ve made the payment.

7. Remember to print out your page, or print screen.

8. YOU’RE DONE!

1) Normal mail = RM1.00 for postage plus RM2.00 for bubble wrap envelope(required by the post office)

Delivery time : Peninsular Malaysia 2-3 working days (post office schedule). East Malaysia 7 working days.

2) Pos Laju : Rates quoted are for the 1st 500 grams. Each CD is approx. 100 gram in weight.

Please note that you will be contributing to the fund raising by ordering the CD because part of the proceeds from the pre-orders directed through AAM will be donated to the Philippines storm victims  (Ondoy).

In addition to this, other donors have come forward and offered their assistance by pledging a sum of money for every CD ordered through AAM for charity.

Therefore, for every CD ordered, an amount of money will be donated to aid the Ondoy victims in addition to the money that comes from part of the CD purchases. So you will help play a major role in helping us raise funds for the needy with every CD ordering through AAM.

You can email us NOW with your full name as per your I.C., contact numbers and Quantity of CDs. You can get your CD by the 12th of October AND help raise funds for the Philippines. Best of both worlds right? :D

    Sorry if some of you have been having trouble making cash deposits thru the ATMs. Not familiar with ATM policies as I havent used one in decades lol. I keep my money under my bed hehe.

    Apparently you have to deposit cash in denominations of 5,10,15,25 ringgit etc. The dang machine won’t accept denominations of 1,2,3,or even 4 ringgit.

    In this case you may have to deposit the money thru the teller at the counter. Kinda leceh I know, so very sorry for the inconvenience :-)

    Just to clear up some doubts over the banking account details:

    The reason we decided to use the particular account is because we felt that it would help ease the concerns over conflict of interest that may have cropped up if we had used any of the mods bank accounts for you to make payment. We thought that an independent third party account was the better way to go.

    The holder of the account is a very close childhood friend of mine. He and and I have been friends practically all our lives so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. I even use his gmail to redeem iTunes giftcards. Eunice will confirm with me on this.

    So please rest assured that everything is above board and that your money will be honestly accounted for.

    You are not late in ordering the album.

    If your parents don’t trust AAM mod then the best way is that you wait unitl the cd is out, and then you go buy it from Sony directly! You can buy many more copies. Your parents will be very pleased and feel safer this way!

  114. STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO ONLINE BANKING:
    (This is for Maybank2U. Please find the similar functions on your own homepage if you use another bank.)

    1. Login to your secure site. Go to Accounts, Click on Transfer.
    2. Pick NEW INTERBANK GIRO TRANSFER
    3. Request for a TAC. (If you don’t know what a TAC is, you’re doomed… just kidding. The blue link above the drop down box; click on it. It will send a message with a code to your registered phone number. This may take up to several minutes, be patient.)
    4. In the drop down box, select HONG LEONG BANK (OR WHATEVER BANK YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BANK INTO). Click continue.
    5. Fill in all the information: Recipient name, IC, account number, amount, etc. Double check everything and click continue.
    6. You will be asked to key in the TAC number. Type it out from the SMS, and click continue. You will see a status notification (success or fail), along with the details. You can also email the details using the form to AAM’s email, or just inform them you’ve made the payment.
    7. Remember to print out your page, or print screen.
    8. YOU’RE DONE!

  201. Jonanthan! Good to see you again! Mom is the greatest :D She’ll enjoy it. It’s a very good classic christmas album, not a pop christmas album. heartfelt and reverent of what Christmas is about.

    Song that took me by surprise most is Pat-A-Pan because David Archuleta sang in French!!!!!!!! I didnt expect it.

    Melodies of Christmas has lots of potential! Loved the incorporation of familiar carols here and there. And in essence, it’s what David always say about Christmas songs and the season.

    All the high notes!!!! I take my hat off to DAVID ARCHULETA.

  240. aww, racheleta. that’s the danger of getting it mailed. my jason mraz cd was cracked too when i received it in the mail. well you could always take out the cd cover and the back and put it in a new cd case. although it may not feel entirely the same, but at least there’s no crack across the album cover / david’s face. :P

    You asked that your CD be sent through normal mail rite? So maybe that’s why it hasn’t arrived yet. Even pos laju within KL sometimes takes 4 days to arrive!
