Geh. I still feel uncomfortable calling David a man. But yeah. Mmhkay. Okay, remember when David said he shopped in Topman in Malaysia? Here are some stuff I found in Topman’s line of clothing. Yes, apparently I have too much time on my hands. Haha.

Why do I have the feeling people are gonna get these checks for their husbands/boyfriends/sons pretty soon?

David to Perform at Rio Tinto Stadium, Utah

Utah’s state-of-the-art Rio Tinto Stadium is proud to announce the venue’s June 6 “CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME” event, a special Celebration of our Military featuring Utah musical sensation David Archuleta, the second leg of Real Salt Lake’s 2009 Rocky Mountain Cup series with rival Colorado Rapids, and the Official Dedication of the Stadium.

Proceeds will benefit “Operation Warm Heart,” serving Hill Air Force Base’s uniformed and non-uniformed personnel in need, and the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust, assisting Utah military families with various expenses that may arise during deployment of their Service member.

Archuleta, 18, will sing the National Anthem prior to Real Salt Lake’s kickoff against Colorado and will provide the crowd with a special performance immediately following the game. The star stormed the international music scene with his performances in late 2007 and early 2008 on the hit show American Idol, and was named one of Forbes’ Breakout Stars of 2008. His eponymous album was released in November of last year, peaking at #2 on the Billboard charts, as did his first single, “Crush,” which has sold 1.5 million digital copies in the United States. Beginning on April 21, the Murray, Utah-raised Archuleta will tour the United Kingdom with the British band McFly for five weeks before returning home for his Rio Tinto Stadium debut.

Two Davids Prove to be Concert Stage Goliaths

MANILA, Philippines – The two Davids – American Idols Cook and Archuleta – proved to be Goliaths on stage on Saturday.
Their one-night-only concert not only brought the jampacked house down but it also brought traffic to a crawl around the Mall of Asia in Pasay – before and after the show.
Fans of American Idol 2008 winner Cook and runner-up Archuleta came from all over the Philippines just to watch them. GMA TV host Janno Gibbs, himself a singer and composer, summed up the much-awaited event this way: “Ang galing, sobrang galing. Parehong magaling [Great. Really great. They were both great].”
And just as upbeat as everyone was concert producer and promoter Jomari Yllana, who stayed mostly in the background through the whole visit of the two idols.”I’m very, very thankful and very happy,” he said, in post-gig interview aired on Sunday over GMA’s “Showbiz Central.” – GMANews.TV

50,000 Watch Davids!

American Idol’s David Cook and David Archuleta rocked Manila Saturday night in a back-to-back concert.
Around 50,000 fans trooped to the concert grounds of SM Mall of Asia to catch a glimpse of their idols.
Cook sang songs from his album, as well his versions of “The World I Know,” “Heroes,” and his chart-topping cover of Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby”.
Archuleta sang songs from his album as well as “Stand By Me,” which he performed in American Idol.Most of the concert-goers said they’ve followed the two Davids since the two joined American Idol season 7 last year.

American singer David Archuleta thanked his Filipino fans following his “unbelievable” back-to-back concert with David Cook in Manila Saturday night.
In a video uploaded on YouTube, Archuleta said both he and Cook were grateful to the thousands of people who watched their show at SM Mall of Asia.

“It was unbelievable… it was so incredible. I can’t believe how many came to see the show. Just want to say thank you so much, to all the fans who came. To all the Filipino fans, both David Cook and I appreciate it so much. Just want to thank you, guys, from both of us. I can’t say salamat enough for the amazing time we had here (Philippines),” Archuleta said.

Archuleta also sang songs from his album as well as “Stand By Me,” which he performed on “American Idol.”
Most of the concert-goers said they followed the careers of the two Davids since they joined “American Idol” season 7 last year. Archuleta said he and Cook would never forget their experience in the Philippines.  He said the two of them had a great time in the country.

He also thanked his fans in Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom.
