Folks we have to rev up our requesting at the various radio stations as we must have David’s music sitting at the top of all of the radio charts by the time he sets foot in Malaysia. David’s showcase in Malaysia

Now that we’ve been confronted with the reality that David will be in Malaysia this April – less than 3 weeks away – I’m almost unbelieving of this long awaited fulfillment. For more than a year now I’ve watched , listened, read, agonized, shed tears of joy and despair and immersed myself in the pop culture that is David Archuleta ( more so than any other artist in my life ) and wondered if I’ll ever count myself among the fortunate ones who manages to hear and see him live. All those countless youtubes and mp3 downloads brought him tantalizingly near and yet literally still an ocean away.

But now he’s almost here and I imagine the day when he’ll come onto the stage at the Sunway Lagoon Amphitheatre amidst screams and cries from fans. He’ll walk onto the stage with a huge smile on his face waving to us and  a years’ worth of waiting and anticipating will have come to fruition. Still I’m apprehensive about the good fortune that’s coming our way – seems too good to be true to be actually experiencing that voice from a close and personal perspective. And the one song I’m really hoping he’ll sing is “Somebody Out There“.

It’s especially magical and poignant when a song is centred around David’s voice with it’s clear, crisp and soulful tones; it reverberates and rings with a stark honesty that’s quite unlike any other singer I’ve come across. And this is none more evident than in  “Somebody Out There” where the promise of hope, comfort and  salvation is so masterfully conveyed by David:
